Corner Tree

There are very few purely vegetarian and strictly vegan restaurants in Metro Manila, so most of the entries in this blog identified restaurants that serve something that vegetarians can live with. However, Corner Tree really stands out among all the other restaurants in a sense that everything on the menu is okay for vegetarians, and with a few minor adjustments, can also be made okay for vegans. Here's just a small sample of what's cooking at Corner Tree:

Greek spinach filo triangles (P 150.00)
This is a classic Greek appetizer - light and crisp pastry filled with spincah and feta cheese.

Spinach and mushroom lasagna (P 380.00)
Fresh spinach, roasted bell pepper, mushrooms and 3 different cheeses.

North African vegetable stew (P 240.00)
Vegetable stew infused with saffron and Moroccan spices served over red rice (or couscous), topped with toasted almonds and fresh coriander. Served with harissa on the side and organic greens.

Corner Tree is at Jupiter Street, near the corner of Reposo St. They're closed on Mondays.
